To enhance partnership between Capital Market institutions and the Association of Financial Services Companies, the Securities Depository Center hosted the Board of the Association at the Securities Depository Center (SDC)’s headquarters in the Capital Market Institutions building.

The two parties reviewed the most important common topics and ways of cooperation, discussed some projects, and listened to the association’s observations regarding issues that concern and serve this sector, which represents financial services companies including brokers and custodians.

Dr. Mohammad Abdel Sattar Jaradat, the Association’s Chairman, raised some common issues of interest to financial services companies. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening communication and cooperation between the SDC and the Association in a way that serves the interests of all related parties and supports investment in the Jordanian financial market.

On her part, Ms. Sarah Tarawneh presented a summary of the most important developments and projects currently being implemented by the SDC. She also provided detailed explanations regarding the topics inquired about by the Association, most notably the financial settlements in general including the financial settlements of block trades and the settlement of the traded bonds in the market. Additionally, they discussed the handling of dormant account instructions and the procedures for opening accounts for clients.

In conclusion, both parties affirmed the importance of enhancing mutual cooperation and supporting all efforts aimed at serving and promoting investment in the Jordanian financial market.
