A Student Delegation from the Judicial Institute of Jordan visits Jordan Capital Market Institutions
The Jordan capital market institutions, represented by Jordan Securities Commission, Amman Stock Exchange, and Securities Depository Center, received a student delegation from the Judicial Institute of Jordan on Wednesday 20/05/2026.
Capital market institutions presented presentations reflecting the most important tasks and developments witnessed by the Jordanian capital market.
Mrs. Abeer Alnaser, Head of Clearing and Settlement Section from Operations Department, and Mrs. Noor Al-Omari, Head of the Follow-up and Enforcement Section at the Legal Department, gave a presentation on the establishment of the SDC and its various tasks, including registering and safekeeping ownership of securities, depositing and transferring ownership, and conducting clearing and settlement operations. They also explained the SDC’s main relationships with judicial authorities based on the SDC’s tasks, activities, and functions specified in the Securities Law and the legislation issued pursuant thereto.
During the meeting, discussions took place, during which the questions and inquiries were answered regarding everything related to the Capital market and the functions of capital market institutions. At the end, it was emphasized the importance of holding more such meetings, which contribute to the transfer of knowledge and expertise between capital market institutions and judicial authorities.
